Rick Speir – Owner
Rick has over 35 years working for Speir Heating and Air. He began working in the family business in high school and continued through college. After college he became a full-time employee managing the installation department and service department. With the passing of the company’s founder, Herbert Speir, Rick took over running the day to day operations of the company. He attained his State Warm Air License and was certified as a NATE technician. He is certified as a Duct and Envelope Verifier, served as a member of the Advisory Board at Central Georgia Technical College in the Air Conditioning department, and was an instructor at CGTC in air conditioning. He has attended numerous continuing education classes throughout his career at Speir Heating and Air. These classes include:
Understanding basic and updated service techniques, ductless installation, service and maintenance,
Universal EPA certification, Installation and service of variable speed products, installation and service of VRF equipment, Manual J load calculation certified, understanding air flow principles and many other classes through the years.
Micah Speir – Operations Manager
Micah has worked for Speir Heating and Air for 8 years. He has earned his VRF certification and NATE continuing education certificate. He currently serves as the Operations Manager, overseeing on-the-job processes for new installation jobs. When he’s not working, he loves to hunt and fish, and watch Georgia Bulldogs football.
Samuel Speir – Marketing Manager
Samuel has 12 years’ experience working part-time for Speir Heating and Air in various roles. EPA certified, he has experience recycling old HVAC systems, leading warranty claims, job-costing, and working as a maintenance technician. Currently, he serves to develop social media and marketing strategies. A graduate of The University of Georgia, he enjoys attending various Bulldogs sporting events.
Seth Scruggs - Service Manager
Seth has over 15 years' experience in the HVAC industry. He got his start with Speir Heating & Air as a young Service Technician. After gaining valuable experience in both the commercial HVAC and school system sectors working on chillers, boilers, and cooling towers, he is back with Speir to lead the Service department. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with his family!
Aaron Wood – Office Administrator
Aaron is in his third year with Speir Heating and Air and is serving as the Office Administrator. Aaron has work experience as a Manufacturing / Trade show Manager and a Retail Manager for different companies. Having earned his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management at the University of Georgia, he proudly represents the Bulldogs. When he’s not at work, he enjoys watching the Atlanta Braves and likes to spend time with his wife and dogs.
Alex Hobbs – Dispatching, Customer Service
Alex has one year of experience with Speir Heating & Air. Her roles include dispatching our service, maintenance, and installation technicians while providing a high level of customer service to our customers. Alex has former experience in customer service, sales, and billing. When she’s not at work, she enjoys painting, fishing, kayaking, camping, and taking her dogs on walks!
Jacob Barkley – Service Technician
Jacob has 4 years of experience in the HVAC industry and is currently in his second year with Speir Heating and Air. Jacob has education from Central Georgia Technical College, has a universal EPA certification, and an OSHA certification. When He is not working, he enjoys cheering for the Atlanta Braves, playing video games, and working out.
Levi Johnson - Service Technician
Levi is just starting his career as a Service Technician at Speir Heating and Air. He has previous service technician experience with other companies in the Middle Georgia area and has completed his EPA certification. In his free time he likes to bowl.
Marcos Paredes – Maintenance Technician
Marcos has over 6 years’ experience as a maintenance technician with Speir Heating and Air. EPA certified, he works to maintain optimal performance of our customer’s HVAC systems. When he’s not working he enjoys cheering for his children at their sporting events. When they aren’t at a field, he enjoys watching anime and playing video games with them. He also enjoys drawing.
Austin Langford – Installation Technician
Austin has over 5 years of work experience in different service industries, working as a Service Advisor and Technician. He’s currently in his third year with Speir Heating and Air working as an Installation Technician. He attended high school at Houston County and college at Georgia Southwestern State University. When he is not at work, he loves hunting, fishing, and watching the Atlanta Braves.
Robert Pirkle - Installation Technician
Robert has one year of experience as an Installation Technician at Speir Heating and Air! In his free time he enjoys working out and exercising.
Eric Hammaker – Installation Technician
Eric has worked for Speir Heating and Air for over 25 years. Eric has worked exclusively as an installation technician, giving him a tremendous amount of experience. When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his dogs.
Jason Jones – Installation Technician
Jason has over 20 years in the HVAC industry, and 8 years with Speir Heating and Air. Jason works with our installation team, ensuring successful installation of new HVAC systems. When he’s not working, he enjoys mining!
Michael Dainton - Installation Technician
Michael is just starting his career as an Installation Technician at Speir Heating and Air. Prior to joining Speir, he worked as an installation technician for four years at another HVAC company. In his free time he enjoys racing dirt bikes and watching the Chicago Bulls!
Chase McNeil - Installation Technician
Chase is just starting his career as an Installation Technician at Speir Heating and Air. He has previous work experience in the retail food industry and in disability connections. In his free time he enjoys hiking, fishing, longboarding, working out, gaming, and editing.
